Baird Center features thoughtful attention to sustainability with a solar roof, gray roof membrane, stormwater management system, recycled steel, bird-friendly fritted glass, low-flow plumbing fixtures, LED lighting and two state-of-the-art ORCA food digesters. We are also pursuing LEED Silver certification for the expansion.

In addition, Baird Center has achieved Global Biorisk Advisory Council® GBAC STAR accreditation, the gold standard for prepared facilities by implementing the most stringent protocols for cleaning, disinfection and infectious disease prevention.
