Maker Faire Milwaukee
September 13 - September 15
Maker Faire Milwaukee is co-hosted by Betty Brinn Museum and Milwaukee Makerspace, in collaboration with MAKE magazine.
The Faire will be in full swing on Saturday, September 14th from 10am to 6pm, and Sunday, September 15th, from 10am to 5pm. Maker Faire Milwaukee programs for students and educators only will be held during the day on Friday, September 13th.
Maker Faires are family-friendly events that welcome makers – tech enthusiasts, inventors, crafters, educators, tinkerers and hobbyists of all ages – to exhibit their work and share their knowledge and skills with other makers and with the community. Maker Faires also showcase the “maker movement”, a growing global community of do-it-yourselfers that is pushing the boundaries of creativity, product development and manufacturing through technology, innovation and entrepreneurship.
Maker Faire originated in 2006 in the San Francisco Bay Area as a project of the editors of Make: magazine. It has since grown into a significant worldwide network of both flagship and independently-produced events. Read more on Maker Faire history, the Maker Movement, as well as how to start a Maker Faire or a School Maker Faire where you live.
